Tell us about your horses (or your dream horse, if you don't have one yet!) Share your horse's name, color, markings, and breed. We'd also like to hear what discipline your horse is trained in, or what goals you have for you and your horse. You can load photos of your horse using the Img button, but they must already be loaded online (at a photo-sharing website or your personal website) since the forum software cannot upload photos from your computer or e-mail, it only loads them from a url. *Sorry, those of you who had previously answered this question on Liverystable.net--the inexperienced forum administrator (that's me!) accidentally "pruned" all the posts in this first category...so please be a sweetheart and tell us about your horses again! Have fun reading everyone's posts!

We have three horses: Mine is a registered Quarter Horse mare named Daisy. She is seven years old, and rideable, but needs more hours put on her. We bought her when she was four years old, and she hadn't been saddled or ridden, but was very gentle. She's extremely athletic and would make a great cutting horse, but we probably won't invest that much into her training, since we plan to just trail ride with her. She is sorrel with a blaze, 15.2 hands, and has a thoroughbred build, rather than a stocky bulldog type Quarter Horse.

My husband's horse is named Cricket, and she is an unregistered gray mare, probably about 15 years old. She is well broke and gentle--we bought her from a five year old girl who wanted to get a barrel racing horse instead. Cricket was a little too slow, I guess. She is perfect for us. We can ride her bareback, and she's gentle enough our one year old daughter sits on her back (with mom holding on!). Cricket is really sweet.

Our project horse is Milo, a grade Appaloosa gelding. He is three years old and we are starting him under saddle. We bought him at an auction when he was a tiny runt weanling, and we chose him because he had a cute head and silvery coloring with black spots on his hindquarters. He is finally big enough to ride, though he will probably always be about 14 hands and lightweight. He is extremely smart, doesn't spook or buck, and we plan to train him well enough for a child's mount.

Our horses come running when you call, and are as gentle as puppies to catch. We can lead them with just an arm around their necks, and we let them out on the lawn to graze, and they stay right there at the farm. We don't expect a lot from our horses, as far as working and riding hard, so they are happy to be around us and come looking for us to scratch their backs.

I have already introduced all of you to Gunner, Polaris, Cruiser, Hero and Cadence. Well, Cadence isn't my horse anymore. I needed to sell one of my guys, and Cadence was searching for his own human and FOUND A REALLY NICE ONE!! :D

I do have a new horse to introduce you to, however. His name is Private (Private Sultan). I really like him. He is a 10 year old Bay gelding that I plan to show in Show Pleasure. He has been a fine harness and 5 gaited fellow, but I want to bring him down, because I think he will make a wonderful show pleasure horse. He trail rides really nice and I think he will enjoy a life in an easier division. I will attempt to attach a picture of Private.
