Your Online Advantages
Liverystable.net is your best option for buying or selling a horse because a world of opportunities is at your fingertips and results can be instantaneous. We've all been through the process of consigning a horse at a sale barn, getting him washed and groomed, being dismayed at the few interested buyers, and finally "no-saleing" him, trailering home discouraged, and feeling angry at the low price you were offered for your fine horse. And on the other hand, we know the intrepidation of bidding on a horse at a sale, not sure of what you're getting, uncertain if the horse has been drugged or not, and no guarantee that he is going to be your next best friend. With online advertising on Liverystable.net, you can save yourself a lot of hard work, wasted money, and troubled emotions.

Advice for Buyers
Buying a horse online is easy, but not something to be taken lightly. When contacting the seller of a horse you're interested in, be sure to specifically ask the seller if the horse has any past injuries, soundness problems, vices, or any other potential defects. You want to ask questions about its disposition, such as if it is easy to catch, picks up feet, broke to lead and tie up, loads easily in the trailer, if it kicks, bucks, runs away, etc. Their reply should either affirm that this is the type of horse you want to go look at, or let you know not to waste your time. When going to look at a horse, take an experienced horseperson along if you are not an expert yourself. You will want to observe the horse in all phases of motion, and if it is trained, ask the owner/seller to ride it first and demonstrate to you its capabilities. We strongly recommend having a veterinarian conduct a pre-purchase exam on the horse while you are present to be sure there are no health problems. Ask the vet to evaluate the horse based on what you intend to do with the horse: breeding, pleasure riding, showing, or just a companion horse. You should never complete a transaction without writing out the terms of the deal and having each party sign it. Any buyer or seller that is hesitant or refuses to sign an agreement is a sure sign of a problem. If the horse is registered, you will want to make arrangements for the transfer papers to be signed, either at the time of sale or include in the written agreement when and how the transfer will be conducted.
